This was taken in Benfica's museum. That's the football club I support. Though our biggest glories are too old - we don't win the Champions League since the sixties.
I just finished reading Hemingway's For Whom The Bell Tolls, so I decided to post one of the bell photos I took from the churches I mentioned, although the book itself has of course little to with bells. As for the book it was a vivid portrait of how stupid wars are.
This is in Braga, not sure about the name of the church. Braga has an unbelievable big number of churches per square meter, so I'm going to post some church related photos this week.
Took this picture in Braga. I decided to change my post display to show one day pictures so I can show sets of pictures that are somehow related to each other. Today (or, better said, tomorrow, as I'm posting Friday's pictures, though it's still thursday here in Portugal) it's a color themed 2 pictures set: green and yellow.
I don't usually like to take pictures of flowers, but I decided to work on this one and post it, as I'm heading tomorrow to take more pictures, hopefully lighter and happier than this one. I have a reserve series on Lisbon and Sintra, but I decided to not use it yet and give this photo a chance.
A sunset in center Portugal. There has been a change in my vacation schedule. I came sooner from south Portugal, and I'll be heading north on friday. I'll be visiting Braga and other places in north Portugal I hope to turn into beautiful photography subjects.
I would like to be able to take a better portrait of this little bug, with it's marvelous wings. The wings really reminded me of the sky at night, filled with stars. Took this photo in Sarnadas, near Castanheira de Pêra, Portugal. Tomorrow I'm going in a week vacation, and I'll be back Thursday.
I like to take pictures of pretty much everything when I have a camera in my hands. Sometimes I like to take pictures of simple objects that I just happen to consider as great to look at. This is an old caffettiera.
This is an abstract image of a lamp. I don't usually enjoy posting abstract images, but I like to play with the camera, trying to find the perspective that will turn a simple object into a unusual visual experience. This picture is an upview of a lamp.
At Boca do Inferno (Hell's Mouth). I'll be away for the weekend, I come back monday. (About the song: I like Nouvelle Vague's cover very much, and I think it suits the photo better, but I kept in mind some people prefer the original, so be my guest and choose.)
This is a lighthouse in Cabo da Roca (Roca's cape), which is as west as you can go in continental Europe. I would like to have a more original touch in the photo, but anyway, I've always liked lighthouses.
